Fruit Share: apples!
We had another successful cooking class at Powisset Farm this past weekend, Plant Based Meals with Bowls & Sauces. International cookbook author and podcaster, Mia Moran led a great sold out class on her tips and tricks to incorporating more plant based foods into weekday meals. Mia will be back in a couple weeks for another great class on gluten and dairy free cooking and baking. We hope to see you there!
This week our kitchen is busy with Roberta Hing’s Chinese Street Food cooking class and Breakfast Hacks with Barbara Livingston. Roberta will take you on a culinary adventure creating a few classic Chinese street food favorites: Crispy Scallion Pancakes with multiple flaky layers, Curry Chicken Puffs with melt in your mouth buttery crust and Xian Bing, the savory stuffed pancake that can be found in the city of the famed Terra Cotta Warriors. Then on Sunday, Barbara will lead participants in creating 5 different breakfasts — one for each workday. Leave with a new repertoire of breakfast choices!

Yoga on the Farm – Tuesdays!
Bring a mat, blanket or towel, and a water bottle. All levels and ages 13-99 welcome. Pre-registration requested but drop-ins welcome. Sign up at, thetrustees.org/powissetevents.
*Yoga now takes place inside the screened porch or the barn classroom due to the EEE recommendation from the town of Dover.
Children’s Open Barnyard
Bring the kids to visit our piglets, chickens, sheep, goats and bunnies at our fun barnyard! Learn about what our furry farm friends eat, how much they sleep, and what they do each day. The Open Barn yard occurs every Thursday (1-4pm) and Saturday (10am-2pm) through October 26.
Powisset Saturday Cafe
Stop by the Powisset Kitchen every Saturday, 10am-2pm to grab a snack and a beverage while exploring the farm or picking up your vegetables. A light selection of beverages, muffins, scones, cookies and quiche (with salad) will be available.October Highlights

Mark your calendar for our annual HarvestFest celebrating the fall harvest on October 6th, 10am-3pm and Boo in the Barnyard on October 27th. We’re also launching Storywalk, Tuesday Tots in the Kitchen and Hay Rides in October.
